Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of floral arrangement ("living flowers"), originated in the 6th century, evolved into a refined art form in the 15th century and expanded to the general population in the 19th century. This floral art is centered on minimalism and harmony with nature. Space between materials and the asymmetry of the design is important to the creation of an ikebana arrangement. Join us in exploring Japanese floral beauty. Registration is required.
This event graciously sponsored by the Friends of the Cherry Hill Public Library.
