The people who feed us and teach us are doing some of the most essential, demanding work in the world and leading within those spaces requires something extraordinary. Most leadership challenges in these environments are not caused by lack of skill or dedication. They show up when pressure changes how people think, decide, and show up for their teams. In those moments, even the most committed leaders can find themselves operating from old habits, internal expectations, or the need to "get it right" without realizing how that shift quietly affects the people around them. This session goes after the root cause of leadership inconsistency by helping food workers and educators see what pulls them out of alignment and how to make more intentional choices that create steadiness, credibility, and momentum in their kitchens, classrooms, and communities.

LaVonna Roth is the founder of Ignite Your S.H.I.N.E.® and a leadership speaker who helps organizations reduce the pressure that threatens culture, retention, and results. Her focus is on what happens when capable, well-intentioned leaders feel overwhelmed by expectations and past experiences, and how that internal pressure shows up as mixed signals across teams.
With nearly 20 years of experience across education, business development, and leadership consulting, LaVonna brings a rare ability to connect human behavior to system-level outcomes.
