About this Event
In the spirit of Ramadan, the month of hospitality and sharing, we are hosting an Iftar at the Museum that's open to all. This year, we are delighted to be partnering with the British Muslim Heritage Centre to help deliver this special evening.
Enjoy an evening of friendship and conversation that brings people together across faiths and cultures, with time to reflect on the spiritual meaning of Ramadan. Learn about the significance of this sacred month and observe or take part in the Muslim call to prayer. Guests will have the opportunity to view special objects from our archives connected to Islamic history, and discover the rich diversity of Islamic cultures and traditions from around the world. The evening concludes with the opportunity to open the fast and share a selection of delicious food together.
