About this Event
A version change of the GLOBALG.A.P. flagship standard: IFA is coming our way: IFA v6GFS. The changes are designed to adjust for new market requirements including for Environmental Sustainability and more detailed IPM programs. In this course we will focus on the core differences between IFA v5 and IFA v6. We will also review various resources offered by GLOBALG.A.P. and other organizations, which can support producers and consultants as they adjust their GLOBALG.A.P. programs to the changes.
GLOBALG.A.P. is the world's leading farm assurance program, translating consumer requirements into Good Agricultural Practices on farm. This webinar is intended for producers, consultants and other stakeholders interested in getting a 1 day overview of the changes between IFA v5 and IFA v6 and how to access free resources that will be helpful when transitioning to IFA v6. The changes are designed to adjust for new market requirements including for Environmental Sustainability. As an example of this, note that that by 2025 Walmart U.S. will source 100% of fresh produce sold in their stores from suppliers that adopt integrated pest management practices (IPM) verified by third party. GLOBALG.A.P. IFA FV is one of just a handful third party certification standards accepted by Walmart for verifying IPM and pollinator health protection.
A GLOBALG.A.P. Registered Trainer Program Certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course.
