Gabriel Strauss of ERCO will be presenting a 1 hour lecture followed by a Q&A style open forum. Light bites and drinks will be provided.

The preservation of our night skies is at risk! Light pollution has filled our outdoor areas in increasing quantities, and the negative effects are experienced by all: the animals, the flora and fauna, and people. We as a design community have become increasingly aware of this impact in recent years, and have made progress towards positive change. This course seeks to educate on the impact of wasteful light on our environment and the steps we can take to become more conscious in our design processes when it comes to lighting nightscapes.
