Mud Creek Park - CNC Observation Walk
Date & Time: 3/29/2025 9:00am-10:30am
Join April Thomason and Jean Hackett, Alamo Area Master Naturalists, from 9-10:30 am Saturday, March 29 for the chance to explore Mud Creek Park. Using the iNaturalist app, participants will learn to spot and identify plants, birds, insects, and mammals in this seldom-studied natural area. Sightings documented during the hike will add information to San Antonio and Bexar County's understanding of what flora and fauna we share space with. Easy to moderate hiking. Please download the iNaturalist app prior to your hike.
This nature walk is part of the preparation for the City Nature Challenge (CNC). What is the City Nature Challenge? Join the Texas Master Naturalists, San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, Texas Parks Wildlife Dept and many others in a fun challenge this weekend, April 25-28 to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. · Please download iNaturalist on your phone and create user profile before arriving.
· Park in the parking lot by the restrooms. Meet at the gate by the restrooms.
· Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather.
· This is a good activity for adults and older children.
· Please leave your pets at home.
