Pianist Kamil Piotrowicz and drummer Szymon Gąsiorek have been running the Idealistic Festival for the past five years in Denmark and Poland. They have showcased radical, creative, and genre-free music from vibrant young scenes. This time, it's a spontaneous pop-up event at Ljubljana’s PLAC, where you can experience a wide variety of expressions, drawing from streams such as contemporary classical music, experimental electronic music, hyper-pop, IDM, ambient, techno, noise, and free improvisation, to name a few. It’s a completely DIY event, a celebration of music and an opportunity for a meeting. Your presence and support will be strongly appreciated :-)

WERONIKA PARTYKA (saxophones, live electronics) will perform two compositions:
Rafal Zapala: Judge Me Again (2018) for wind instruments and live electronics
The piece is dedicated to the issue of crossing/violating privacy (from a small, seemingly innocent remark, through verbal assessments, touching comments, to severe physical abuse). The #metoo campaign was a trigger here, but the culture of crossing borders is a broader, more universal topic. The composition is a short story about growing stronger, gaining power. It is a musical evolution of the character, who gradually leaves the “role of the victim”. The piece consists of different parts, in which the “switching” between them takes place by a member of the audience approaching the performer and physically touching him or her. The interaction in the concert is very simple and very symbolic – it’s just touching the performer, but yet always forming a moment of risk for both sides. This gesture is a crossing of the physical barrier of privacy, but also symbolizes judgment, an evaluative opinion that is always harsh, always “touches”.
Jacek Sotomski: Life 2 (2019) for alto saxophone, electronics and video
In this composition, I present eight reflections on the subject of life: when it is cool, when not, when sometimes it is strange and incomprehensible. But above all, fascinating.

mala roza muca is a Slovenian musical project blending hyper folk and dark electronic elements. Their sound, influenced by breakcore, rave, glitch, spoken-word, and metal, defies categorization. The project embodies a "more is more" philosophy, combining contrasting elements and rapid changes to create a disorienting yet captivating experience.
Released under Be More Childish and self-published, their music features collaborations with artist Pixel Bambi. mala roza muca's performances at festivals like Grounded and Tresk showcase their unconventional style. Their approach embraces chaos and "deadly unseriousness," resulting in a unique fusion of internet-inspired, locally-rooted sounds that challenge listeners' expectations while embodying the spirit of YOLO.

Whitegirlstudyplaylist has developed his distinctive sound in deliberate contrast to mainstream banging techno and other party-oriented electronic music. By exploring softer and cuter soundscapes, coupled with fresh sound design and a minimalist aesthetic, his techno is pushed to the edges where it spills over into ambient and experimental. This is also evident in his latest EP, 🌱-based, where kick drums serve more as sonic elements rather than beats for dancing. Filled with marimba melodies in C-major, the EP also features wooden percussion sampled from the pristine forests surrounding his hometown, Kočevje. In his forthcoming project, he is shifting his attention to the heavenly realm where ambient would turn further into religious music.

𝓟𝓸𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓮 is a project about establishing a once-elusive relationship with oneself.
A musical illustration of unusual, inspiring, self-discovery, sometimes even frustrating moments in which emotions and feelings are continuously intertwined with thoughts.
It is a sound mimicry and insightful study of the phenomenon of rumination. A ruminating mind resembles a washing machine that is endlessly agitating in your head.
The timbres of acoustic instruments combined with a cool electronic sound are complemented by formally sparing lyrics, melodies and vocalizations create altogether an experimental tale about the infinite world of inner dialog between feelings and reason.
