Ideal Forgery return to the Isle of Man to play a one off gig at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute with support from Tom Baker on Saturday 4th April- doors 7.30pm! -
Ideal Forgery are a four-piece rock band based in Manchester, blending raw energy with melodic chaos. Taking influences from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Bring Me The Horizon, Nirvana and Soundgarden - their sound is loud, unapologetic, and carved out of distortion, sweat, and unfiltered emotion.
Led by vocalist and acoustic guitarist Zak Heaney, the band features Mikey Taylor on lead guitar, Dex Doughty on bass, and Pete Mitchell on drums—each member bringing a dynamic edge and intent to a sound that ranges from the darker, heavier, and more aggressive end, to the more sorrowful and bittersweet acoustic tracks.
Ideal Forgery have shared stages and studios with The Blossoms, Electric Six, James, Chris Helme(Sea Horses), Spaced, and many more. They’ve earned a reputation for fierce live shows and uncompromising songwriting. This isn’t polished radio rock. It’s grungy, riff-driven, emotionally loaded, and built to shake walls.
