Idaho Stories: A Community Art & Writing EventPlease join us in celebrating the Library’s Idaho Collection. This remarkable reference collection includes books, DVDs, and maps on Idaho’s history. While these items cannot be checked out, they are available for everyone to explore during library hours. Choose one book from the Idaho Collection and create a short, one‑page response inspired by it. Your piece may be a poem, fiction, or creative non-fiction. It can be deeply researched or simply sparked by a brief look. We’re interested in your artistic voice and interpretation, not a summary of the text.
You can also include visual art, but everything must fit on an 8 x 11 in piece of paper. Submissions are due June 1st and may be submitted in person or emailed to [email protected]. This project is a partnership between the library, the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission, and Coeur d’Alene Poet Laureate Jennifer Passaro. We will celebrate the culmination of the project with an event in late June. More details to follow.
