ICS & ITIC Seminar - Claims, Disputes & Ship Arrest – with Kennedy’s Law

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Ireland is pleased to host an evening seminar in Dublin in collaboration with ITIC, with a legal presentation from Kennedy’s Law.

This practical session will focus on real-world claims, disputes and enforcement issues affecting shipbrokers, ship agents and maritime professionals.

ITIC will share insights from recent claims involving shipbrokers and ship agents, highlighting:

• common risk areas and warning signs
• how debt collection disputes typically arise
• practical steps to reduce exposure and avoid escalation

This will be followed by a talk from Hugh Kennedy (Kennedy’s Law) on vessel arrest, outlining:

• the legal framework for ship arrest
• tactical considerations in practice

The seminar will conclude with drinks and networking.
