Look through telescopes at the wonders of the real universe! We will be at the Henry Reuss Ice Age Center after sunset. Join us in the auditorium at 7:30pm to hear a talk on astronomy and the scale of the universe, then head outside to the telescopes waiting to take you on your own celestial journey! We'll start out with planetary crowd-pleaser Saturn (with its breathtaking rings). The moonless skies will be nice and dark and will allow the best views of "deep space" celestial objects including star clusters, nebulae, and double stars. This will be one of the best opportunities to discover astronomy in all its variety in one single night -- take advantage of it!
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the night sky, find out how telescopes work, or just spend some quality time with the family. If the sky is cloudy we will still be there showing telescopes; if it's raining the event is cancelled.
