World IBD Day is a reminder of something we see every day: inflammatory bowel disease is invisible, but its impact is very real. 💜For the millions of people around the world living with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and ostomies, IBD can affect everything from work and school to relationships, mental health and everyday life. It is a lifelong condition that deserves more understanding, more research and more support.
That is why the work of IBD Africa matters. Through research, education and advocacy, we are working to build a stronger, more informed and more supportive future for people living with IBD across South Africa and Africa. But we cannot do this work alone. Fundraising helps us continue to grow awareness, support patients and families, and push for better care and better outcomes.
📌 On Saturday 23 May, IBD Africa will host a World IBD Day Fundraising Dinner & Quiz at Golfpark 4, Mowbray. It will be an evening of connection, learning and entertainment in support of IBD Africa’s ongoing research and advocacy work.
If you are able to join us, we would love to have you there. If not, you can still make a difference by sponsoring a ticket for a patient or family member who may not otherwise be able to attend, or by donating towards the cause. Every ticket purchased and every donation made helps us keep this work going.
To support the fundraiser, please click the link below and complete the Google Form. There you’ll find the banking details and can choose whether you’d like to buy a ticket, sponsor a ticket or make a donation.🎟️
Thank you for standing with the IBD community and helping us build awareness, understanding and hope. 💜
