About this Event

On Tuesday 13th January we will be hosting an IAS Friends and Fellows Coffee Morning, where we will welcome current IAS Residential Fellow Dr Gemma Sou.

, Monash University

Gemma is a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at Monash University, Melbourne. Her main body of work draws on feminist and postcolonial thought as well as cultural geography to explore how families experience and tackle disasters during their everyday lives. This body of her research aims to develop a more human-centred scholarship on disasters. She is also passionate about working with disaster affected families and artists to produce and theorise creative research outputs.
