Cahokia Archaeological Society is proud to Sponsor the 2026 Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology (IAAA) Annual Meeting at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site—and this year’s program is packed with exceptional opportunities for students, professionals, and archaeology enthusiasts.
What’s Happening This Year?
Friday Evening Kickoff — Light hors d’oeuvres and a relaxed meet‑and‑greet at Colton’s Steakhouse.
Saturday at the Interpretive Center — A full day of archaeology presentations, research updates, limited tour and community engagement.
Saturday Evening Keynote Dinner (Optional Add-on) — A special dinner at Cahokia Mounds featuring Bill Iseminger (aka Mr. Mounds), presenting The Evolution of Cahokia Archaeology.
Sunday Special Tours — Guided tours of Cahokia Mounds, with part of your registration fee benefiting the Powell Archaeological Research Center (PARC) for this tour by Dr. John Kelly and Bill Iseminger.
Early Registration Bonus
Anyone who registers and pays by April 1, 2026 will be entered into a drawing for a handmade knife crafted by a Cherokee flintknapper. All Saturday night dinner reservations must be received prior to April 1st (limited seating).
How to Register
The attached registration form includes the full schedule. Conference registration is $25 per person (does not include optional Saturday dinner which is an additional $25 per person).
