Saturday, April 18th from 1-4pm is the Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society Open House and we have a special presentation as well! 2:00 PM Robin Gross will discuss her book, “I Shook My Family Tree…and George Daynor Fell Out.”
Meet a distant relative of George Daynor’s little-known wife Florence!
Fascinated by a crazy family story, armchair detective and family genealogist Robin Gross has uncovered new information about the original Palace of Depression creator George Daynor!
Robin will discuss her research process, family stories, and will be selling copies of her book!
We will also be showing "The Fantastic Castle", a 1938 film short about the junk-built tourist attraction, The Palace of Depression.
This is a free event. Donations are always welcome and appreciated.
The Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society is an independent, non-profit organization that receives no ongoing financial support from any government or outside organization.
