Be part of a unique and historic night of Montreal music and food. Two house bands with horns and featuring guest vocalists will play The Last Waltz in its entirety. It won’t be a carbon copy of that iconic night in 1976 but highlight after highlight of songs performed by The Band and their special guests (including songs that were not in the Martin Scorsese movie) will get the royal treatment from a deep pool of Montreal talent that includes Dawn Tyler Watson, Basia Bulat, Shane Murphy, Rob Lutes, Rob MacDonald, Tim Kingsbury of Arcade Fire, Josh Trager of Sam Roberts Band, Howard Bilerman, Chris Velan and so many others. It’s somewhat ironic that one of America’s best bands of the late 60s and the 70s - that helped give birth to the Americana genre - featured four Canadians and a drummer from Arkansas. This 3 hour music extravaganza will bring to life the best of the era’s songbook in rock, blues, soul, country, folk and gospel. All performed in Le 9e’s gorgeous art deco La Grande Salle. Plus - to mark American Thanksgiving, a turkey dinner will be served at Île de France (recently named one of the best new restaurants in Canada by En Route) prepared by Executive chef Liam Hopkins (Hopkins, McKiernan, Park) and Culinary Director Derek Dammann (Maison Publique, McKiernan). Just as in 1976 when promoter Bill Graham served Thanksgiving dinners to music fans who attended the concert at his Winterland Theatre in San Francisco. This is a special event. There are now only 40 seatings available for dinner. A 20% gratuity is already included in the price. Tickets for the concert and the dinner must be purchased separately through FeverUp. Do not go directly to Open Table to book dinner. It will show the event as Sold Out. It is not yet sold out. Only through Fever can you gain special access to reserve your preferred time for dinner (reservations can be booked from 5:30-6:45). Capacity for just the concert is about 300. Don’t miss this truly spectacular night! “I’m just trying to break even” - Richard Manuel The Last Waltz
