About this Event
I Nourish Them, They Heal Me
A Plant Healing Gathering for LGBTQ+ & BIPOC Survivors of Violence with special emphasis on the experience of women and non-binary femme people
What does healing look like when it is rooted, slow, embodied, and collective?
How might these lessons apply to the ways we relate to our bodies, boundaries, pleasure, and rest?
I Nourish Them, They Heal Me is a healing experience that invites participants into a sacred space where plants become teachers, witnesses, and partners in restoration.
Sexual wellness is deeply tied to one’s relationship with their body, their capacity to listen inwardly, and their ability to recognize needs without shame or pressure. Much like plants, bodies — especially femme bodies — are often expected to perform, respond on demand, or thrive without adequate care. This workshop reframes intimacy as a slow, reciprocal relationship rooted in presence rather than productivity.
Through guided plant care, herbal wisdom, storytelling, grounding practices, and gentle reflection, we will explore how tending to living beings can support our own healing journeys. Together, we will honor survival, resilience, softness, and growth.
This event centers survivors of violence, and we will have staff on site to assist should any triggers arise.
What to expect:
- Guided planting workshop and intention setting
- An introduction to accessible herbal healing practices
- An herbal plant companion to take home and nurture
- Mental health professionals available for survivors to discuss triggers, should they arise
No prior plant knowledge is needed — just your presence.
This space is not about “fixing” ourselves. It is about remembering that healing can be reciprocal. As we nourish plants with water, touch, song, and care, we are reminded that we, too, deserve steady tending.
