For English, please scroll down!В „Обичам, когато ме гледаш“ танцувам соло в интимна връзка с тишината, музиката, танца, себе си и публиката, родена от желанието да отворя пространства на игрива интимност, където можеш да обитаваш и да се разтваряш в ефимерност. Мога лесно да се появявам и изчезвам, като същевременно винаги съм тук.
В „Обичам, когато ме гледаш“ празнувам това да бъда видяна и усетена в сурова ми уязвимост. Това кани възможност за провал и изгражда връзки чрез чувствени и деликатни взаимодействия.
Пред погледа ти, с всяко вдишване, движение и звук, се променям и преминавам в нещо друго. Ставам по-видима, а понякога изчезвам невидимо.
Преди да изчезна с този танц, си позволявам да заема пространство, да се изразявам свободно и да творя чрез движение. Преминавайки през лични преживявания и танцови архиви, оставям и заличавам следи, докосвам сетивата и те каня в неизвестното.
Творбата разглежда динамиката на отношенията със среда, музиката, погледите, телата, емоциите, чувствата и несигурността на неизвестното.

Това представление е част от проекта на Жана „Тела в удоволствие, тела, които се грижат, танцуващи тела“. То изследва чувствеността, изпълнителските идентичности, които танцьорът носи в себе си, и еротичното присъствие на танцуващото тяло.
Процесът по създаване на "Обичам, когато ме гледаш" беше подпомогнат с драматургични, танцови и концептуални съвети от Хана Ердман, Офелия Ярл Ортега, Дарио Барето Дамас и Александар Георгиев.

За автора
Жана Пенчева е танцьорка на свободна практика, работеща между Бургас, София, Стокхолм и други международни контексти. Има бакалавърска и магистърска степен по танц и хореография от Нов български университет и през 2025 завършва магистърската програма "Нови изпълнителски практики" в Стокхолмския университет по изкуства.
Нейните танцови работи често изследват теми, свързани със чувствителността, еротиката, любовта, отношенията и кинетични пространства, които тялото обитава. Създава представленията си в тясно сътрудничество с музика, звук, светлина, пространство и дригите тела. Сред последните й творби са хореографските концерти Six Love Songs (2019) и Dance baby, dance (2021), както и спектаклите Glass of love и Garden. Най-новата ми солова работа е I Love When You’re Watching Me.
През 2018 г. заедно с Александар Георгиев и Дарио Барето Дамас основаваме международния артистичен екип STEAM ROOM, който работи с практики на колективно авторство. Представят своите продукции в редица европейски градове. От 2020 г. насам развиват дългосрочната инициатива Imaginative Choreographic Center (ICC) – проектна институция, която изследва колективните процеси и насърчава споделена отговорност и критическо участие в полето на танца и хореографията.

In I Love When You’re Watching Me, I dance solo in intimate connection with silence, music, dance, myself, and the audience, born out of a desire to open spaces of playful intimacy, where you can dwell and dissolve in ephemerality. I can easily appear and disappear, while at the same time always being here.
In I Love When You’re Watching Me, I celebrate being seen and felt in raw vulnerability. It invites failure and builds connections through sensual and delicate interactions.
In front of your gaze, with each breath, movement, and sound, I change and transition into something else. I become more visible, and sometimes I disappear invisibly.
Before disappearing with this dance, I allow myself to take up space, express myself freely, and create through movement. Shifting through personal experiences and dance archives, I leave and erase traces, touch senses, and invite you into the unknown.
The work explores the dynamics of relationships with the environment, the music, the gazes, the bodies, the emotions, the feelings, and the uncertainty of the unknown.

This performance is part of Zhana’s project “Bodies in Pleasure, Bodies That Care, Dancing Bodies.” It explores sensuality, the performative identities that the dancer carries within themselves, and the erotic presence of the dancing body. The process was accompanied by dramaturgical, dance, and conceptual advice from Hana Erdman, Ofelia Jarl Ortega, Dario Barreto Damas, and Aleksandar Georgiev.

Zhana Pencheva is a freelance dancer working between Burgas, Sofia, Stockholm, and other international contexts. She holds a BA and an MA in Dance and Choreography from New Bulgarian University, and in 2025 she completes the master’s program “New Performative Practices” at Stockholm University of the Arts.
Her dance works often explore themes related to sensitivity, eroticism, love, relationships, and the kinetic spaces the body inhabits. She creates her performances in close collaboration with music, sound, light, space, and other bodies. Among her recent works are the choreographic concerts Six Love Songs (2019) and Dance baby, dance (2021), as well as the performances Glass of love and Garden. Her latest solo work is I Love When You’re Watching Me.

n 2018, together with Aleksandar Georgiev and Dario Barreto Damas, she co-founded the international artistic team STEAM ROOM, which works with practices of collective authorship. They have presented their productions in numerous European cities. Since 2020, they have been developing the long-term initiative Imaginative Choreographic Center (ICC) — a projec institution that explores collective processes and shared responsibility and critical engagement in the field of dance and choreography.
In recent years, Zhana has performed in Bulgarian and international productions, including Passing (Israel Aloni), The Body as Reference for Revolution (United Cowboys), In C (Sasha Waltz & Guests), The Power of S (Aleksandar Georgiev), Hommage à Merce Cunningham (Paula Rosolen), Impossible Actions (2021, Yasen Vasilev), among others.
