About this Event
Nell Irvin Painter, Professor of American History Emerita at Princeton, is the author most recently of I Just Keep Talking: A Life in Essays, a New York Times notable book. Assembling her writing for the first time in a single volume, and featuring her original artwork, I Just Keep Talking takes the reader on a journey from Painter’s childhood through decades of reflections on history, politics, race, class, gender, and art. She tackles the past as well as the effects on the political landscape of the 2016 election. “I Just Keep Talking reads like an intellectual adventure story.” – Amy Davidson Sorkin
