Join Us for the “I Have a Dream” MLK Day of Service Community Event
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service, Nurturing Smiles invites families to a free, community-centered MLK Day of Service event focused on children’s health, education, and access to resources.
This event will include free dental screenings for children in Pre-K through 5th grade (approximately ages 3–11), provided by licensed dental professionals. These screenings meet Pennsylvania school dental requirements and help families stay up to date with school health needs.
In addition to dental screenings, families can enjoy:
- Light refreshments and snacks
- Raffles and giveaways
- Oral health education
- Free resources from community partners
This is a no-cost, family-friendly event, designed to remove barriers to care while bringing the community together in the spirit of service, equity, and impact. We are proud to serve the Philadelphia Virtual Academy community and surrounding neighborhoods as we work together to create healthier smiles and brighter futures.
