For December, read the 3rd and last sections titled Crown and Seeds.To finish out the year, the HYP Book Club will be reading Richard Powers’ Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, ‘The Overstory’. The story follows nine unrelated characters whose unique life experiences with trees bring them together to address the destruction of old-growth forests. Through interwoven narratives spanning multiple generations, the novel explores themes of environmental activism, the interconnectedness of living things, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
