About this Event
Hybrid Writing Workshop
In this two-hour long workshop we will use various sources – flash fiction, poetry and visual prompts – as a starting point to create fresh and original writing.
I think that sometimes having a well-defined goal in mind in terms of genre can limit us. In this workshop you will be encouraged to write … anything really!
You will be immersed in a space where uncertainty is most welcome and your writing can happen in the moment without the need to label it. A flash fiction? A poem? A prose poem? Autofiction? Do we really need to know beforehand?
You will write to a range of prompts and come away with a wealth of new ideas and, hopefully, inspiration to continue letting words guide you. You will play with ideas in a supportive, fun and relaxed space.
This workshop is led by award-winning writer Rayna Haralambieva. Her words can be found in many in-print anthologies and online journals such as Reflex Press, Litro, Strands, Bath Flash Fiction Award. She recently won the Gold Award in Creative Future Writers' Award Competition.
