Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 5 KM (3.1 miles) or 11 KM (6.8 miles) group walks in downtown Daytona Beach. The 11KM will take us over the Memorial Bridge to Beach St., Main Street and a section of the walk is on the famous beach itself!Tailgate Registration at 7:30 AM in the parking lot. The cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
You may walk with the group or go at your own pace - ask for the Map/Directions when you register.
Bring your books, this is an IVV/AVA credit event.
The walk is rated 1C (flat & moderate), as a significant portion of this walk is on the beach (hard-packed sand.) Alternate route, on your own, along the sidewalks on A1A, parallel to the route. The alternate route is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers.
SUN SPLASH PARK – 611 S. ATLANTIC AVE. – DAYTONA BEACH
From I-95 take Exit 260C onto International Speedway Blvd (US 92). Drive east for about 6.3 miles to S. Atlantic Ave (A1A). Turn right onto S. Atlantic Ave and drive about 3/10ths of a mile to Sun Splash Park on your left. Turn into the parking lot.
