About this Event
Hush Girl is a culturally grounded wellness program for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) women in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). A culture of silence puts African, Caribbean and Black women at greater risk of intimate partner and family violence and Hush Girl addresses that head on. The event is about creating space where ACB women can finally speak, be heard, and heal from intergenerational trauma through meditation, storytelling, and a talking circle led by trained and licensed ACB therapists.
Attendees will enjoy lunch while they connect with others, refreshments throughout the afternoon, and a goodie bag to take home at the end of the day.
