The park is over 3,000 acres in size and has a variety of habitats. Take a twilight walk along the Huron River as the sun sets. Birding at this time of the year can be challenging. Immature birds are still developing, and migration is beginning. Take time to explore the birds and listen to the insects that help fuel their migration. Dress for the weather and hiking. A Michigan State Parks Passport is required for park entry.
