About the keynote speaker:
Casey Weinstein is an Ohio Senator for District 28 including Portage County and some of Summit and Geauga counties. He’s a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from The OSU. Some of us will recognize Casey as a contributor in Ken Harbaugh's documentary "Against All Enemies".
With a strong background in business and in leadership, Casey Weinstein is an outstanding asset for the people of Ohio. His voice as state representative for 3 terms and now as state senator is a voice for democracy, freedom and opportunity.
As senator for Ohio senate district 28, Casey has sponsored SB-98, which increases restrictions on firearms possession for those with domestic violence offences. He has cosponsored SB-2 that seeks to increase Ohio's power generation and improve the electric grid.
Casey's continual support for the dignity of life, encompasses protecting minors from conversion therapy (SB-71); establishing Ohio Health Care Plan (SB-78); increasing state minimum wage (SB-234).
Casey highlights our hearts in action and our calendars, by designating LOVE MAKES a FAMILY Week.
Some senate resolution Casey supports include:
- adopting the Legislative code of Ethics (SR-4)
- urging Congress’ support of military and veteran mental health treatment
- reaffirming Ukraine's sovereignty and support of the people of Ukraine (SR-51)
- supporting moving NASA headquarters to Ohio (SR-68)
