The Huntsville Center for Technology (HCT) has recently entered a brand-new era. In July 2025, the school moved into a state-of-the-art, $60 million campus located at the corner of North Memorial Parkway and Max Luther Drive.
Rather than being a traditional standalone high school, it serves as the district's central hub for Career Technical Education (CTE). Students from all across Huntsville City Schools rotate through the facility to gain hands-on experience and industry certifications alongside their regular high school curriculum.
State-of-the-Art Labs: The 81,000-square-foot facility features high-tech spaces for 11 specialized programs, including Welding, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Advanced Manufacturing, and Health Science.
New Tech Programs: The move introduced new tracks in Automotive Technology and Industrial Technology, developed through high-profile partnerships with local industry leaders like Toyota and Mazda.
Workforce Readiness: The curriculum is designed specifically to graduate "industry-ready" students who can enter high-demand trades immediately after high school without the burden of college debt.
Unique Features: The campus includes specialized labs for 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) and an outdoor Greenpower track where students build and race electric vehicles.
