Hungry Heartland: Stories of Resilience | Conversation with K-State Faculty and Students in Art, Media and Communications, and Social Transformation Studies | April 16, 2026 | 5:30-7 p.m. | Free and open to all "Hungry Heartland" is a collaborative documentary project bringing together faculty and students in the A.Q. Miller School of Media and Communication and the departments of Social Transformation Studies and Art. The project shines a light on food accessibility and the grassroots efforts working to nourish communities statewide. Join us for presentations from K-State faculty about the project, as well as from students who are developing multimedia accounts of food access challenges and solutions in Kansas communities.
This program is offered in conjunction with the "Rural America" exhibition at the Beach Museum of Art.
