Show Synopsis:Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s new book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel.
The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be "Out There," observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.
A sweeping score and powerful story make The Hunchback of Notre Dame an instant classic. Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical.

Sunday, May 31st- 11am- 1PM; Callbacks, IF NEEDED, at 2 PM
We ask you to come prepared to sing, and potentially read from the script. * Please note there is not a dance audition for this show. For your vocal selection, we ask you to prepare 32 bars that showcase your range and ability to tell a story. We will have an accompanist available, so please be sure to ensure your music is easy to read and marked up for a smooth vocal audition! We will have a speaker for Bluetooth use, as well; we just ask for NO acappela.
We ask that you bring a headshot and an UPDATED resume for our directing staff to view. If you can’t bring that, we will be taking headshots during the auditions and will be able to provide audition forms for you. **Please note any possible conflicts during the rehearsal period of this show.
***PLEASE NOTE: We will be accepting video submissions, but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND in-person auditions, so we can see your vocal ability IN PERSON. If you need to submit an audition, please email [email protected] for instructions and deadlines!***

REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals run M-TH from 6-8:30, beginning August 17th!!
***Conflicts will be accepted for rehearsal dates; however, an excessive number of conflicts with rehearsal times may impact casting decisions. We request that all known conflicts be shared with us at the time of auditions. Please be aware that conflicts brought to our attention after the casting of the show may result in recasting or being released from the show. If you are involved with another production that will conflict with rehearsals for this production, we ask that you please refrain from auditioning from this show and focus on the original commitment made to the other production. Conflicts with tech rehearsals and performances will not be allowed.

TECH WEEK REHEARSALS:
Our first FULL CAST tech rehearsal will be SUNDAY OCT. 4TH at 1pm. This Full tech rehearsal is mandatory for ALL ACTORS and CREW. Tech week then runs Monday-Thursday, OCTOBER 5TH - 8TH, starting at 6 pm, leading up to opening night. TECH REHEARSALS AND ALL PERFORMANCES ARE MANDATORY!

Claude Frollo
Archdeacon of Notre Dame Cathedral and the most powerful cleric in Paris, he is the reluctant caretaker of Quasimodo. He will do whatever it takes to rid the city of the Roma “vermin,” even as he lusts after Esmeralda. Calculating, manipulative, and obsessive.

Captain Phoebus de Martin
Returning to Paris after serving in the war, Phoebus takes up his new position as Captain of the Cathedral Guard. Overconfident yet charming, this handsome, strong soldier makes the ladies swoon, yet his moral compass is also strong, and he openly defies the corrupted Frollo.
