In this presentation, we will discuss the expansion of the Motus network in Wisconsin through the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory. The Motus wildlife tracking system is a form of radio telemetry that researchers use to track movements of small animals as they move across the landscape. Motus stations are placed in strategic areas to attempt to detect animals carrying transmitters. We will dive into the technical equipment behind Motus, LMBO's current work, view individual detections from LMBO's stations, and learn how the public can view Motus data.
