About this Event
“It’s been really nice to be part of a process where you feel like your voice is heard… these are stories worth telling. These are experiences, feelings, emotions that are worth being portrayed through the arts.”
Humans Not Heroes is a co-creation project that has brought healthcare workers together to reflect on their experience of COVID-19 pandemic. These stories have inspired audio pieces written and recorded by professional artists.
Alongside an exhibition of the existing artworks, we invited RCN members to be involved in the creation of a seventh piece.
The launch will consist of:
• A performance of the new piece
• A session to reflect on the process and the responses to the final product from those that co-created it and those that are experiencing it for the first time at the sharing. This will help inform how we take the project further. piece*
The audio piece will be added to the exhibition, Unmasked: Real Stories of Nursing in COVID-19, in the RCN Scotland library.
