Humanballing: Connecting for Performance

Now here’s something a little different for our Alma stage! On Wednesday 15 October we’ll be hosting an evening of conversation with some fascinating people from the worlds of sport, business, and community.
The theme of the night is how we connect through performance and how those connections can unlock meaning and purpose in what we do. If you’ve read the book Humanball, you’ll know it’s all about how teams thrive when people bring more than just their job descriptions to the table.

This evening brings that to life in real time as Humanball’s co-authors, Tom Dawson-Squibb and Nic Rosslee steer the conversation with a stellar panel lined up including:
Kevin Foote, Head Coach of the Junior Springboks and former Springbok Sevens Captain.
Kate Woods, General Manager of adidas South Africa and former South African Hockey Captain.
Madeleine Henstra, Co-founder of the Lekker Network and CEO of FDC.
"I loved reading Humanball earlier this year — it’s such a refreshing book. What I enjoyed most is that it’s not really about rugby at all, but about people, teams, and the way we connect. Since its release it’s made its way into boardrooms, classrooms, and clubhouses across the country, sparking conversations and inspiring change. A lovely South African story, and one I’m very glad to have on my shelf."
Expect some fantastic storytelling, honest reflections and inspiration to take home to your own teams, workplaces, and families. It will all happen in the cosy, candlelit setting of the Alma Café, complemented with a hearty meal prepared by our chef.
