☮️🌎🖤Pro-Immigration & Human Rights Rally ☮️🌎🖤
📍 Medical Center Drive & Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC
📅 Friday, March 21, 2026
⏰ 1–3 PM
Harmonious Consulting, in collaboration with volunteers from Siembra NC and The Immigrant Allies Forum (ILM), is organizing a peaceful, nonpartisan protest in Wilmington calling for due process, equal protection, and humane immigration policy. This community action responds to growing concerns about multiple state and federal bills—including NC Senate Bill 153 (Border Protection Act), NC House Bill 318, U.S. House Resolution 2454, and U.S. House Resolution 237—that expand immigration enforcement authority, incentivize local collaboration with ICE, weaken oversight, and increase the risk of racial profiling, wrongful detention, and family separation.
Our message is intentionally bipartisan and rooted in shared values: no one in southeastern North Carolina should be unlawfully detained, targeted, or disappeared based on race, language, or perceived immigration status. Upholding constitutional rights, due process, and human dignity strengthens public safety, protects families, and reflects the values of Wilmington as a coastal, working-class, and diverse community.

⚖️ WHY THIS MATTERS — QUICK FACTS
📌 All four bills expand enforcement power without proportional safeguards for due process or judicial oversight
📌 Racial profiling risk increases when local law enforcement is encouraged to act as immigration agents
📌 U.S. citizens and lawful residents have been wrongfully detained in ICE operations due to database errors and lack of warrants
📌 Asylum is legal under U.S. and international law—criminalizing it undermines the rule of law
📌 Wilmington families are impacted when people avoid hospitals, schools, or reporting crimes out of fear

🌿 Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that Wilmington, North Carolina, sits on the ancestral and unceded lands of Indigenous peoples, including the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe and the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, whose stewardship of this land long predates colonization. We honor their resilience, cultures, and continued presence, and we recognize that systems of displacement, racialized violence, and family separation did not begin with modern immigration policy. As we gather and live and demonstrate in Wilmington… We hereby acknowledge our responsibility to understand this history and its ongoing impacts. Our call for immigrant and asylum-seeker rights is inseparable from solidarity with Indigenous communities and a commitment to justice, dignity, and accountability for all peoples—past, present, and future.
