About this Event
In addition to its regular weekday hours (10-4 Wed-Fri), Founder’s Hall Museum hosts a monthly weekend open house. Visitors can enjoy special themed highlights and activities, along with the opportunity for a self-guided visit to the museum.
Join us in December for a festive afternoon of music and cheer at our Hum for the Holidays Open House at Founder's Hall. Enjoy clips from Winter concerts dating back over the past fifty years, from Good Night and Christmas Prayer to Kwanzaa Celebration. Dive into the history of the Girard Ginger cookie, which has been produced since at least the Civil War (with samples of course). Simple holiday crafts and a museum scavenger hunt round out the event for our younger visitors.
Before you go
- This open house event is FREE, and open to everyone. Advance registration is helpful for us, but walk-in visitors are very welcome.
- Founder's Hall is a National Historic Landmark. The museum is located on the second floor and requires climbing a flight of stairs to view.
- Because Girard College is an active school, you will quickly check in with security when arriving on campus.
- Parking is available for free on-site; we are also accessible by several bus lines and are a half-mile walk from the Girard Avenue subway stop.
- Check out www.foundershall.org for more information about our programs, collections, and online resources
