The Huichol Art Boutique begins with an Open House, Sunday, December 7th.
Come browse and shop for the holidays. After this date, additional in-person or virtual sessions can be scheduled. Contact Mary Beth Robinson, via text, 865-387-0977. Please share with friends and family. This is an annual event and happens only in December.
Cash and credit accepted. Refreshments will be served.
Each piece of art -- beaded jewelry, beaded bowls, yarn paintings, woven bags, God's eyes, and more -- is infused with the spirit of these people closely connected to nature and unbroken traditions dating back thousands of years.
The Huichol Art Project was founded by the Blue Deer Center to actively support the Huichols by creating markets for their artwork to be sold at a fair market price. Aside from administrative expenses, all proceeds go directly back to the artists themselves. The project is supported by volunteers, in six countries on three continents.
