HUGPUNCH favner enkel, intuitiv og guitardrevet sangskrivning i skyggen af emo-rock. Bandet tager dig med på en ærlig og humoristisk sjælerejse gennem et rige af intim tyngde. De synger triste sange med smil på læben.
HUGPUNCH er navnet på ture og throus fælles projekt – et all-star samarbejde med rødder i MAPR og BATHOUSE. For fans af ovlov, hovvdy, spirit of the beehive og lignende.

Bending Backwards (English below)
Bending Backwards er et højrøstet indie band, der kommer ud af undergrundsscenen for alternativ musik i Århus og København. Det er noisy og energisk, men ikke på den typiske fjendtlige punk facon. Deres musik bliver leveret på mere ærlig vis - en wall of sound æstetik, der omfavner publikum som en ekstatisk fælles oplevelse.
Sangene er legende og poetiske og omhandler kærlighed mellem brødre, det at være langt fra hinanden og savnet derved. Både glædesfulde og melankolske, men alle med udgangspunkt i minder og oplevelser fra livet omkring dem.
Bending Backwartds består af et ind-til-benet trio setup - med Frederik Vuust's crooner Scott Walker-esque vokal, holdt oppe af Halfdan Stefansson på guitar og Johannes Jacobsen på trommer.

Bending Backwards is a loud indie band, emerging from the underground scenes for alternative music in Århus and Copenhagen. It's noisy and energetic, but not with the usual hostile punk aesthetic. Their music is delivered in a more honest manner - a wall of sound, meant to embrace the audience as an ecstatic shared experience.
It's playful and poetic songs about brotherly love, being far from each other, and the longing. Both joyful and melancholic, but all songs set in memories and lived experiences of life.
Bending Backwards is consisting of a cut to the bone trio setup of - the crooning Scott Walker-esque vocals of Frederik Vuust, backed by the loud downtuned guitars of Halfdan Stefansson, all kept going by the energetic drumming of Johannes Jacobsen.

Nina and Alfred er en sangskriverduo, der skriver fængende popsange og kaster dem ind i deres maskineri af energiske guitarriffs og improvisation.
Med debut EP'en "Guess I'm Just A Gnome'' fra 2024 synger duoen om at dagdrømme sig væk fra hverdagen. I akustiske ballader og pulserende rock-sange drømmer de om bare at være en fisk, der svømmer rundt i et hav og at miste sin retningssans i et stadie af teenageforelskelse.
Det er både sårbart og ekstatisk, når duoen går på scenen sammen med deres band bestående af Laurits Schmidt på trommer og Lukas Loebs omstyrer lyd og effekter. I musikken trækker de på deres brede musikalske råderum, improviserer og hen over en eksplosion af legesyg guitar hører man pludseligt deres lyse stemmer flette sig sammen i en luftig klang, som lyder på en måde, der får én til at glemme, hvor man er, og hvem man er sammen med.
Duoen består af Nina Larsen som bragte hyperrocken med sig til Danmark i 2021 med projektet Glitchi (nuXONina), og nu turnérer verden rundt med vampyrbandet Blue Foundation, der er kendt for deres hit 'Eyes On Fire' fra teenagefilmen Twilight. Alfred Lykke har ageret sangskriver i det dansk poetiske pop projekt iomfro siden 2020 og sideløbende spillet i konstellationer indenfor fri improvisatorisk musik.

Nina and Alfred are a songwriting duo who create catchy pop songs and throw them into their own machinery of energetic guitar riffs and improvisation.
With their debut EP "Guess I'm Just a Gnome" from 2024, the duo sing about daydreaming their way out of everyday life. Through acoustic ballads and pulsating rock songs, they dream of simply being a fish swimming around in the ocean, or of losing their sense of direction in a state of teenage infatuation.
It is both vulnerable and ecstatic when the duo take the stage together with their band, consisting of Laurits Schmidt on drums and Lukas Loebs, who manipulates sound and effects. In their music, they draw on a wide musical palette, improvising freely, and amid an explosion of playful guitar work, their bright voices suddenly intertwine in an airy resonance that makes you forget where you are and who you are with.
The duo consists of Nina Larsen, who brought hyper-rock to Denmark in 2021 with the project Glitchi (now XONina), and who now tours the world with the vampire band Blue Foundation, known for their hit "Eyes On Fire" from the teen film Twilight. Alfred Lykke has worked as a songwriter in the Danish poetic pop project iomfro since 2020, while also playing in various constellations within free improvisational music.
