Author, storyteller, poet and singer of ballads, Hugh Lupton recreates the ancient connection between people and horses, through poetry, music and stories from Celtic and Navajo traditions, charting the slow disappearance of horses from the landscape through the story of Jenny Wing, a horseman’s daughter living in Cambridgeshire one hundred years ago.Hugh has toured the length and breadth of Britain, as well as internationally. He has performed at the RSC, the National Theatre and the Barbican. His repertoire ranges from Greek epic to the Great War and often explores our place in the landscape and the deep cultural memories we carry.
