Welcome to "The Loonie Bin" (Canadian Edition)!The only amateur comedy show where loonies = laughs and money!
Here’s how it works:
- MONTHLY shows
- No cover charge – it’s free to get in!
- Comedians are all amateurs testing their material on you — some will be great, some… not so much (and that’s half the fun).
- Bring a $10 bill (optional!) and we’ll swap it for shiny Canadian loonies.
- Each comic has their own bucket. If they make you laugh (or you just appreciate the effort — it’s scary up there!), drop in a loonie. Didn’t laugh? Save it for someone else who crushes it or keep them for next month when more comedians return to try again!
At the end of the night, comics keep whatever’s in their bucket. That means YOU decide who gets paid (and amateurs almost never get paid). It’s part tip jar, part comedy contest, and 100% powered by YOU. And don’t worry — if they bomb (yup it happens), we’ll still buy them a pint for being brave.
Audience Details:
- Where: Hub Town's Upstairs taproom (18+ only)
- Max 80 seats, first come first served
- Doors at 6:00 pm, show at 7:00(ish)
