2024 saw the introduction of Hub Mono to the Manchester scene, and in wider context, to the soundsystem arena. Now, as they kick off their 2025 mission, they’re bringing one of their most accomplished lineups to date - aptly powered by the esteemed Sinai Soundsystem who are renowned for their expert craftsmanship and cutting edge audio engineering.
Leading the charge is the ever talented Opus, a producer renowned for his intricate, high definition productions that seamlessly blend sub pressure with musicality. With heavyweight releases on White Peach, Chestplate, and Duploc, he has firmly established himself as a force in the bass scene. His classical training and deep rooted engineering expertise continue to push the boundaries of his sound, and his performance in April promises to be yet another testament to his limitless potential.
Joining the lineup is Glasgow’s own Kami-O, a recent White Peach debutant and a producer known for his eclectic sound. His early self-released albums showcased a rich fusion of cultures and colors, all anchored by deep sub bass textures. Now, he continues to evolve, pushing sonic boundaries while staying true to his signature style.
Before the 140 energy ignites, Mercy System will set the tone with his industrial-infused broken techno, bringing groove and shuffle to the night’s sonic journey. His catalog spans labels like Of Paradise, Miracle Drug Records, and VOITAX, showcasing his mastery in fusing techno, garage, dubstep, and grime - crafting a sound uniquely his own.
Opening the night, Hannibal Rex will take the crowd on an atmospheric journey, weaving experimental ambient soundscapes with raw electronic textures. Known for his leftfield explorations through his label Kikuji, Hannibal Rex has earned support from heavyweights like dBridge, J:Kenzo, as well as premiere platforms Duploc and Jah-Tek. His distinctive style promises to immerse the audience from the very start.
Closing out the dance in style, K Super steps up for an all-vinyl set, delivering high-energy breaks, jungle, and hardcore. With releases on Repertoire, Parallax Recordings, and Dalston Chillies - not to mention running her own imprint, Certain Sounds - she continues to leave her mark on the bass scene with relentless energy and passion.
Of course, no Hub Mono session would be complete without its resident MCs, and once again, Blakk Ice and BOA return to guide the night with their unmistakable energy. They’ll be joined by special guest and recently featured UKF artist Freddy B, whose powerful lyricism promises to bring serious heat to the mic.
April 18th is shaping up to be something special. Don’t sleep on those tickets - this is one for the heads.
