Get Ready for HSKW Race Prep – Hyrox Ottawa!
Join us at the Waterloo Warriors - North Campus Field House for HSKW Race Prep – Hyrox Ottawa, a high-performance training experience built to get you race-ready.
Designed for athletes preparing for their hybrid racing season, this event features a focused Hyrox simulation workout led by Elite 15 athlete Cole Learn, delivering real-time coaching and race-day execution insight throughout the workout. You’ll also hear from Jesse Bruce, who will deliver a powerful session on mindset, discipline, and performing under pressure.
In addition, Runner’s Choice Waterloo will lead a targeted running clinic focused on pacing, warm-up strategy, breathing control, and run efficiency — helping you turn every 1K lap into a controlled reset instead of a survival effort.

All Saturday athletes will receive the following resources:
- 10 Day Deload plan (from training camp)

Our coaching team will guide you through movement technique, pacing fundamentals, and station strategy while you experience them in a circuit-style workout designed to build confidence and a strong foundation for HYROX training.

Complementing the simulation, Runner’s Choice will lead a targeted running clinic focused on pacing, warm-up strategy, and mobility techniques to help your runs feel controlled and efficient — even like recovery between stations. Together, these sessions ensure you’re strong on the floor and smart on every lap.

You’ll leave with a practical mental framework to train with purpose and perform at your best in Ottawa.

Rules, Fuel & Recovery

Info: Dave “Ugly Dave” Claxton will clarify HYROX rules, movement standards, and common penalties so there are no surprises on race day. Dr. Kyle Simpson and Coach Trish Clarke will cover nutrition and recovery strategies to help you fuel properly, recover effectively, and sustain high performance throughout your race season.
