2025 has seen some impactful changes on the employment law landscape at both the Illinois and Federal levels.
Illinois has seen changes in a number of laws in 2025 including to non-compete agreement rules, enforcement under the Illinois Department of Human Rights and AI use by employers. The Federal landscape has changed as well, with critical changes to the EEOC's enforcement scheme, proposed changes to the use of DEI in employment decisions and key Supreme Court opinions which will guide how employment decisions are made in the future. We will conclude with our Magic 8 Ball predictions about changes proposed and highly possible for 2026 and how to prepare for them.
When we conclude, the goal is to understand some of the more impactful changes in the past few months and prepare for more changes in 2026.
