About this Event
The HPRU- GI Annual Scientific Conference is being held at the Liverpool Medical Institution (https://www.lmi.org.uk/) on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of March 2022.
Our hybrid event will include plenaries from experts in the field and presentations from junior researchers presenting their latest research findings across all Themes of the HPRU- GI. Further information on the Programme and Invited Speakers will be available closer to the event.
Safety Considerations:
We would encourage all delegates to attend the event in-person, however we are aware that in some cases there will be a need to attend virtually. This will be facilitated through a Zoom webinar, further information will be available closer to the event.
For those who are attending in person, we would like to provide you with some reassurance on safety measures we are putting in place:
- We have a reduced capacity in the venue to ensure safe social distancing.
- We encourage face masks to be worn at all times when moving around the venue.
- Hand sanitising stations will be available throughout the venue.
We will be adhering to government guidelines, and should anything change we will kindly update you as soon as we can.
COVID-19:
We kindly ask that you do not attend the event if you:
- have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days
- believe you may be infected with COVID-19, whether you have symptoms or not
- have experienced symptoms in the last 10 days
- have arrived in England in the last 10 days from a country where UK quarantine restrictions apply
- have been instructed to self-isolate
We encourage anyone in your group that is clinically extremely vulnerable, or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves vulnerable, to make their own assessment whether they should attend.
Accommodation:
We recommend the Hope Street Hotel which is based a short walk from the venue, please quote 'Liverpool University' when booking to benefit from the University of Liverpool’s preferential rate. However, you may wish to stay elsewhere in the City.
