Hoylake and West Kirby RNLI invite you to step aboard our lifeboats and meet our volunteer crews as our lifesaving charity celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2024.Join us for our annual community fundraiser as we celebrate the bravery and commitment of our volunteers and hope to inspire future generations to join and support our 24/7 maritime search and rescue service.
Visitors will have the chance to tour Hoylake’s all-weather Shannon class lifeboat and Inshore Rescue Hovercraft alongside West Kirby’s inshore IB1 lifeboat.
The stations’ launch and recovery vehicles will be on display, including Hoylake’s Shannon Launch and Recovery System (SLARS) and West Kirby’s Hagglund BV206 launch vehicle - the only vehicle of its kind based on station in the RNLI.
Our friends from the Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team and the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) will also be displaying the kit they use to save people and marine mammals on our coast.
🎁🛒 A fantastic range of RNLI gifts and souvenirs will be on sale, including our charity’s ever-popular Christmas cards and calendars
☕️🍰 Refreshments including teas, coffees and sweet treats will be on sale in the boathouse
🚘🅿️ Public parking on North Parade is limited near Hoylake Lifeboat Station. We encourage walking, cycling or using public transport where possible
🚂🚉 The nearest train stations are on the Merseyrail network at Manor Road and Hoylake
🚌🚏 The nearest bus stops are Manor Road Station A & B on Birkenhead Road/ Market Street served by the 38, 38A and 407 buses
