About this Event
Loneliness and poor mental health are among the biggest challenges facing our communities today — yet some of the most effective responses are often the simplest: sharing food, creating inclusive spaces, and making time for meaningful conversation.
How We Live: Food, Design & Wellbeing is a new lunchtime event series exploring how the way we design our spaces — and the way we eat — can support mental wellbeing, connection, and belonging.
This first event features Anna Campbell-Jones, who will discuss her involvement in the design of SAMH’s new The Nook — a pioneering, community-led space created to support mental wellbeing. The conversation will explore how thoughtful, inclusive design can help tackle loneliness, foster connection, and create environments where people feel supported and welcome.
We are proud to be fundraising for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), with 30% of ticket sales donated to support their vital work.
Alongside the discussion, chef Darren Morton will prepare a comforting lunch, using simple, seasonal Scottish ingredients. As he cooks, Darren will lead a relaxed conversation around everyday food choices and how they can positively support mental health.
Hosted by Sara Seravalli, How We Live brings together food, design, and community in an informal and welcoming setting.
Book your ticket now to taste great food, thoughtful conversation, and to support the work of SAMH.
