Carbon Reduction Action Box (CRAB)
Create your carbon reduction plan in a simple, fast and fun workshop for any small business that's feeling lost and overwhelmed with carbon reduction plans.
CRAB is an introductory workshop that gives a small business everything they need to get started with a carbon reduction plan.
Each business will receive:
- An overview of the business opportunity of climate action
- An estimate of their business carbon footprint
- A set of reduction action cards to build a plan
- Certificate of reduction actions
- Access to accountability meetings
- CPD accreditation
You will leave this workshop with:
- Carbon Footprint Estimate - Participants receive an estimated footprint in less than 3 minutes
- A reduction plan - Build a carbon reduction plan using our pre-designed action cards
- CPD Certificate - Certify the start of your reduction journey with a CPD-accredited Small99 certificate.
Alexandra Pearson MBE
Alex lived and worked in China for 25 years where she set up several businesses and organisations including one of the "Top Ten Bookshops in the World" and China's largest literary festival, a theatre company, an outdoor management training company and a leadership training organisation. With a track record of creating successful small businesses with big impact, she now shares her knowledge and experience as a trainer, consultant and facilitator with clients in the UK and abroad. Director of The Yurt Academy, Alex is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sussex Business School, specialising in project and technology management and leadership. Accredited as a Carbon Literacy Trainer by the UN PRME Carbon Literacy Project, a Climate Fresk Facilitator and a Carbon Reduction Action Plan (CRAB) Facilitator, Alex leads sessions on climate awareness and action both at the University and in the community.
Simon Batchelar
Simon Batchelar is a marketing mentor and author of Reframing Marketing: A 3-Step Plan for Effective and Ethical Marketing. With 20 years' experience of running their own marketing agency, Simon has transformed over 400 small businesses. Simon spent 10 years as a TV and commercial sound editor, working on Oscar and Bafta winning programmes. Since becoming a Carbon Reduction Action Plan (CRAB) Facilitator, their vision is to combine this knowledge with their experience of working with small business leaders and teams to empower small businesses to lead the move to Net Zero.
