About this Event
Good Space invites you to join us for an interactive Communities of Practice and Training event at Brighton Dome! Designed to support collaboration and growth within our network of organisations, this event will provide practical insights into enhancing your volunteer programmes.
We'll focus on what makes a "Good Space" for young people to volunteer in, hear directly from youth volunteers, and gain expert advice from Kim Byford of Talent Accelerator on: Making tweaks to make your offer interesting to young people. Exploring the small changes that you can make to the way you shape, present and support your volunteer offer, to encourage young people to participate.
In the afternoon, we welcome Neurodiversity UK to provide an interactive workshop on Creating and Supporting an Inclusive Workspace, offering practical tips and tools to create the best environment for you and your volunteers. When we get it right for people who are Neurodiverse, we get it right for everyone!
What to Expect:
- A Communities of Practice session on fostering volunteer spaces for young people.
- Peer-to-peer learning opportunities to discuss current volunteer programme challenges.
- A post-lunch workshop on Creating and Supporting an Inclusive Workspace.
- Lunch and refreshments provided.
Who Should Attend:
This event is open to representatives of our partner organisations, with a maximum of two attendees per organisation. Whether your volunteer programme is just starting or well-established, this day offers valuable takeaways for everyone.
