About this Event
Talking to your children about sex and sexuality is important. As parents, what we say and don't say affects our children's sexuality so it's crucial for us to learn how to talk about it without shame and with openness. This workshop will help guide you in that process and will provide you with the confidence and resources to be successful. Let this workshop be a place to help in this essential area for your children's well-being. For parents of kids 9+
In our time together here is what you can expect:
- Introduction to age appropriate sex positive language
- A look at why these conversations feel challenging
- Defining sexuality and sex
- A chance to look back to be able to move forward
- A look at myths and redefining what we were taught
- Conversation starters
- How to teach about consent
- What kids need to know about STIs
- What a sex educator believes are the most important things to build on
- Question and Answer session
You will also receive a pdf of resources and talking points from the class.
