Many schools we visit lament the fact that their students can’t solve multi-step word problems. This PL targets the teaching of standard (NAPLAN-style) word problems.
You need this PL:
if your teachers link key words to single operations,
and if your school isn’t yet explicitly teaching students to solve word questions with the help of diagrammatic structures from Year 2.
Prerequisite: Your school has vocabulary sorted out. Our Vocabulary video PL is appropriate.
