Opportunities for children to free play in the outdoors have been replaced with structured activities, youth sports and rigid schedules. Explore ways to give the gift of free play back to your child, letting them lead the way! Nature Center Staff will share tried and true methods of getting kids to connect with and enjoy the outdoors through play-based activities. Discover how learning through play creates more observant, resilient and strong kids. The program will take place outdoors. Please dress for the weather. Bringing your child(ren) is optional. The first half of the program will be an adults-only presentation, while the children engage in free play with the Nature Preschool Staff. Then we will reunite for reflection and more free play practice (kids and adults) in the outdoors.
Please indicate how many children you're bringing with you when you register. Activities are designed for families with children ages 3-7.
