How to make games with Scratch on Raspberry Pi: Scratch beginners

Like to play games? Want to learn how to create your own game? Join us for an hour of fun with our Scratch workshop.

Would you like the chance to play with a great beginner programming language called Scratch? Scratch is a visual programming language that lets you create programs by dragging and dropping blocks.

During this workshop, you will:

- Get an introduction to the fascinating world of Scratch programming

- Get hands-on experience with Scratch

- Learn how to code your first game!

You only need basic knowledge of computers to attend.

This workshop is most suitable for children aged eight and above, but younger children might enjoy taking part with help from an adult; teenagers and adults who want to learn about the topic are also welcome.

Adults accompanying children are welcome to join and don’t need to sign up. We ask that parents and carers of children under 16 kindly remain in the store for the duration of the workshop. Seating will be available.
